Information and terms and conditions about the app

This app is what is known as a client-side only application. The way the code is structured, it functions like a “calculator” rather than a “form.”

  1. Local Processing
    When a user clicks a button (e.g., “At a desk”), that choice is stored in a temporary variable within the user’s own web browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.). It should never leave their computer or phone (subject to their own security settings).
  2. No Database Connection
    The app does not have a “back-end.” There is no connection to a database or a server that “collects” or “saves” the answers. Once the user closes the tab or refreshes the page, every selection they made is instantly wiped clean.
  3. Privacy by Design
    We are not using “Cookies” or “Local Storage” in this application script, and we are not tracking returning users either. To the app, every visitor is a brand-new person every time they load the page.
  4. GDPR & Data Compliance
    This specific tool:
    • Does not collect Personal Identifiable Information (PII).
    • Does not store health-related data.
    • Does not transmit data to third parties.
