Relaxation UK has become an organisational member of the Global Mental Health Action Network (GMHAN). The Network is a community of advocates that make change happen. With more than 10,000 Global Mental Health Action Network members from 170 countries representing 6,000+ organisations, the GMHAN are the world’s leading network for global mental health advocacy.

Our Pillars and Purpose:

A – Advocacy: We enable advocates to influence key global structures and decisions, and to advocate on a national and global stage for what matters locally.

B – Belongingness: We nurture community and provide a global “home” for mental health advocates and activists, often excluded from traditional power structures.

C – Convening: We use our global reach and networks to bring people and organisations together, and we support advocates to strengthen their skills, learning and awareness.

D – Decentralisation of power: We lead by example, hold the sector to account and champion diverse and culturally appropriate mental health leadership.
